How It Works

1. Upload your photos

Click "Upload photos" and select as many images as you like — JPEG, PNG, HEIC, and other common formats all work.

2. Choose your layout

Decide how many images go on each page, or set an exact grid (columns × rows) if you want more control. Switch between portrait and landscape orientation for the whole document.

3. Arrange things your way

Drag any image into any cell to reorder it. Click the "+" on an empty cell to add a caption, a block of text, or another image directly into that spot. Nothing has to stay in upload order.

4. Pick a background color

Choose from a few page background options if you don't want plain white — useful for printing something with a bit more character.

5. Generate your PDF

Click "Generate PDF" and your document downloads immediately. Nothing is saved on the server — your images and the finished PDF are both deleted automatically the moment the download completes. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Is it really free?

Yes — no account, no payment, no limits beyond reasonable technical ones (up to 50 images per PDF, 15MB per image).

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, though for the more fiddly parts — dragging images between cells — a larger screen is more comfortable.

About

Hello — I'm the person behind Pile it up.

This is a small tool I built for myself, mostly, because I kept running into the same annoying little problem: I'd have a handful of photos scattered around and just want them in one document, quickly, without opening a design app or signing up for yet another account somewhere.

So I built Pile it up. It does one thing — turns your images (and text, if you want) into a clean PDF — and it does it fast, without asking anything of you first.

I'm putting it online for anyone to use freely. No account, no catch, nothing saved on my end once your PDF is done.

If you run into something broken, or have an idea for what would make it better, I'd genuinely like to hear it — see the Contact page.

What Pile it up does with your files

Pile it up lets you upload images and arrange them into a PDF, without creating an account.

  • Uploaded images and any text you enter are used only to generate the PDF you requested.
  • These files are processed in a temporary location on the server and are automatically and immediately deleted once your PDF has been generated and sent to you — whether the request succeeds or fails.
  • The generated PDF itself is also deleted from the server immediately after it finishes downloading to your device.
  • Nothing you upload is stored permanently, backed up, reviewed by a person, or used for any purpose other than producing your PDF.
  • There are no user accounts, and no record is kept linking any file to any visitor.

Standard technical logs

Like virtually all websites, the server hosting pileapp.me may automatically record basic technical information for every request — such as IP address, browser type, and time of access — for security and troubleshooting purposes. This is separate from your uploaded files and is standard web server behavior, not something specific to Pile it up itself.

Advertising and cookies

Pile it up may display advertisements served by Google AdSense on pileapp.me. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, which can include use of your IP address and other technical identifiers.

  • You can review and control this at Google's Ads Settings.
  • For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, pileapp.me uses a consent management platform to request your permission before any advertising cookies are set.
  • This site does not itself sell your personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Since Pile it up doesn't retain uploaded files or account data, there is generally nothing to request deletion of beyond what standard server logs may briefly contain. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Pile it up changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.

Terms of Service

Last updated: [date you publish this]

By using Pile it up at pileapp.me, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the tool.

What Pile it up is

Pile it up is a free tool that lets you upload images, arrange them, and generate a PDF. It's provided by Lóránt Nagy. There's no account system and no payment required to use it.

Your responsibility for what you upload

You're solely responsible for the content you upload. By using Pile it up, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to use and upload the images and text you submit (your own photos, content you have permission to use, or content otherwise legally yours to use).
  • You will not upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's copyright or other rights, or that depicts the exploitation or abuse of minors in any form.
  • You will not use Pile it up to generate documents for fraudulent, harassing, or otherwise unlawful purposes.

Pile it up does not store your uploaded files (see the Privacy Policy for details), and does not review file content before processing — responsibility for what's uploaded rests with you as the user.

No warranty

Pile it up is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. There's no guarantee the tool will be available at all times, free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose. It's a free tool run by one person, not a commercial service with uptime guarantees.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lóránt Nagy is not liable for any damages, losses, or other consequences arising from your use of Pile it up — including, but not limited to, data loss, inability to generate a PDF, or reliance on the tool for anything important. Use it at your own risk, and keep your own copies of any images you upload elsewhere.

Advertising

Pile it up may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. See the Privacy Policy for details on how this affects data collection.

Changes to the service and these terms

Pile it up may be changed, limited, or discontinued at any time without notice — it's a personal project, not a service with a service-level agreement. These terms may also be updated as the tool changes; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
